Broadband Infraco, is a long distance national and international optic fibre connectivity network infrastructure provider based in Radiokop, seeks to appoint a suitable candidate to the following employment opportunity:

MANAGER: PLANNING AND PERFORMANCE

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the General Manager: Supply Chain Management, the incumbent will:

  • Develop the Planning and Performance Strategy.
  • Implement the Supply Chain Management strategy.
  • Forecast price trends and their impact on future activities.
  • Conduct benchmarking exercise on Supply Chain Management best practices.
  • Develop a procurement plan which includes capital and operational plans.
  • Monitor record keeping for audit.
  • Manage and provide guidance to direct reports and customers to ensure that all policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines are adhered to in the execution of procurement activities.
  • Identify potential suppliers, visit existing suppliers, build maintain good relationships with them.
  • Conduct fact-based supplier negotiations based on supplier and industry analysis and benchmarks, and cost structure analysis.
  • Ensure legal requirement are met and that value is gained through the sourcing process and not lost during implementation.
  • Manage the administration and negotiation of renewal of time – related contract where appropriate and issuing of amendments to such contracts where required.
  • Produce monthly reports on market research.
  • Manage staff performance and conduct performance reviews.

 

Qualifications  and Experience:

  • 3 year Degree in Supply Chain Management.
  • An additional Postgraduate in Supply Chain Management qualification and formal (Charted Institute of Purchasing & Supply Qualification) would be an added advantage.
  • 7 years’ experience in the Supply Chain Management environment, 5 of which should be at Specialist Level.
  • Specialist knowledge of demand planning, category/commodity management and spend analysis.
  • Must have experience in Contracts drafting and Management, Database Management, Compliance Management and Supplier Management.
  • Technical knowledge of Telecommunication equipment is essential.
  • Detailed knowledge of legislations PPPFA, PFMA, BBBEE etc.
